About Certivo
Certivo turns regulatory evidence into market access. Our AI (CORA) ingests supplier docs and BoMs, validates them against rules, and assembles market‑ready packets mapped to every product × site × market—so launches don’t slip and shipments don’t sit. You’ll shape both the product surfaces customers use daily and the marketing assets that drive packet‑intent demand.
Why this role exists
We’re unifying complex regulatory workflows into a simple, trustworthy experience—and telling a clear story to the market. As our senior designer, you’ll own the end‑to‑end craft across Product UX/UI and Brand/Marketing to accelerate activation, conversion, and adoption in our industrials wedge (Instrumentation, Systems & Controls, Panels/Power, PVF/Water, etc.).
The role
Split your time between:
- Product design (≈60–70%) — Evidence Pack Viewer, Supplier Campaigns, CORA Rules Builder, Packet Factory, Supplier Portal, and admin/governance flows.
- Marketing design (≈30–40%) — Website pages (Industries/Solutions/Evidence Packs), gated assets (guides, sample packets), webinar/event collateral, brand system.
You’ll partner with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Growth to ship measurable outcomes—less friction to “Generate Packet,” higher first‑pass approvals, and clearer value stories by vertical.
Scorecard (what success looks like)
30 days
- Audit product & site; publish a Design Systems Starter (tokens, typography, spacing, states) aligned to Tailwind/shadcn; add a small component library in Figma.
- Ship 1 quick‑win UX improvement (e.g., Supplier Campaigns list & filters) and 1 public asset (updated Evidence Pack page or sample‑packet PDF).
- Instrument baseline: define UX metrics for 2 key flows (Generate Packet, Evidence Review) and 2 website CTAs.
60 days
- Deliver one end‑to‑end feature: e.g., Packet Factory v2 or Rules Builder form with validation + spec (component API for devs); pair with Eng for implementation.
- Launch an Industries landing page set (2–3 lanes) with gated offer(s) and nurture paths; improve site CVR to demo/sample by ≥25% vs baseline for those pages.
- Raise task success on a targeted product flow by ≥15 pts (unmoderated tests) and reduce average time‑to‑first‑packet by ≥20% for trial users (with Growth).
90 days
- Ship a reusable Evidence Viewer pattern: side‑by‑side source citations, PDF paging, field highlights, and exceptions queue; hit WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Establish a Figma ↔ Storybook handoff routine; 80% of new UI uses the system components.
- Publish a vertical mini‑kit (LP hero, one‑pager, webinar deck) for one lane; drive ≥20 SALs attributed to that kit.
6–12 months
- Lead CORA Rules Builder v1 (schema‑driven, versioned) and Supplier Portal UX (multilingual, upload flows); improve P95 interaction latency perceptions via skeleton/optimistic patterns.
- Build and maintain a brand system (logo lockups, color/typography, illustration/motion guidelines) and componentized web templates; keep design debt backlog ≤10 items.
- Demonstrate sustained impact: trial→packet +3–6 pts, site demo/sample CVR +30–50% on target pages, NPS/CSAT +10 pts for owned surfaces.
Responsibilities
Product design
- Own discovery → wireframes → hi‑fi → spec → QA for core app surfaces (Evidence Viewer, Supplier Campaigns, Rules Builder, Packet Factory, Supplier Portal).
- Turn regulatory logic into clear UI (states, validation, empty/error/skeleton, long‑running AI tasks with SSE/WebSockets).
- Design data‑heavy UX: virtualized tables, advanced filters, saved views; clarify hierarchy and reduce cognitive load.
- Define patterns for accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), internationalization, and right‑to‑left readiness.
- Partner with Eng to ship: author component specs (props, states, examples), participate in Storybook reviews, and validate build parity.
Marketing/brand
- Own web experiences (Webflow/Framer + Figma specs): Industries, Solutions, Why Certivo, Evidence Packs; craft narratives that map to packets and pricing.
- Create high‑converting assets: gated guides/checklists, sample packets, ROI one‑pagers, webinar/event creative; ensure nurture paths are designed with Growth.
- Maintain a scalable brand system; evolve illustration/motion (Lottie/AE) that clarifies CORA and Packet Factory.
Collaboration & ops
- Plan and run lightweight research/usability tests; synthesize insights into design decisions.
- Instrument analytics (GA4/Hotjar/Clarity) with clear event names and dashboards for UX KPIs.
- Keep a living design backlog and a public changelog for shipped improvements.
What great looks like (KPIs)
- Product: +15–20 pt task success on targeted flows; ≥20% faster time‑to‑first‑packet; accessibility AA on primary paths; escaped‑defects (UX) trending down.
- Growth: +30–50% demo/sample CVR on owned pages; 2 gated offers + 2 webinar kits/quarter; sourced SALs from design‑led assets ≥20–30 per quarter.
- Systems: ≥80% new UI built from design system; Figma ↔ Storybook parity checks pass ≥90%.
Qualifications
Must‑have
- 5–8+ years designing B2B SaaS (portfolio of data‑heavy interfaces and conversion‑focused marketing work).
- Mastery of Figma (components/variants, auto‑layout, prototyping) and comfort working with Tailwind/shadcn semantics for practical handoff.
- Evidence of shipped work improving activation/conversion (show before/after, metrics, and rationale).
- Strong UX writing; ability to simplify complex, regulated workflows.
- Accessibility and performance awareness; experience designing for international audiences.
Nice‑to‑have
- Webflow/Framer build experience; Lottie/After Effects for micro‑motion.
- Familiarity with React/TypeScript component model; Storybook.
- Experience in industrial/manufacturing or compliance products.
- Basic analytics skills (GA4, event design), A/B test design.
Tools we use
Figma, FigJam, Webflow/Framer, GA4/GTM, Hotjar/Clarity, Notion, Linear/Jira, Storybook, Loom; product stack includes React/TypeScript/Next.js with Tailwind/shadcn.
Interview process
- Portfolio conversation (45 min): two case studies—one product, one marketing; metrics‑backed.
- Product exercise (90‑min, take‑home or live): wireframe → hi‑fi for a Rules Builder flow + component spec.
- Marketing exercise (60‑min): a lane landing page hero + gated offer tile; copy + visual rationale.
- Panel (60 min): PM, Eng, Growth; design review + handoff discussion.
- References.
Compensation & growth
Market‑competitive salary and equity; comprehensive benefits. Growth path to Lead Designer (Product focus) or Brand Design Lead (Growth focus) as we scale the team.
