About Certivo
Certivo is the AI-powered supply chain compliance platform that collects evidence from suppliers, validates it using intelligent document processing, and generates audit-ready proof for customers. We cover 100+ regulatory frameworks—from REACH and RoHS to CBAM, EU CRA, CMMC, and ASTM/ASME material specifications—achieving 95% supplier response rates and 99.2% document extraction accuracy. Our customers are manufacturers across industrial, high-tech, medical device, and defense sectors navigating an increasingly complex global regulatory landscape.
The Role
Certivo's platform spans ten compliance categories—from materials and sustainability (where we have deep in-house expertise today) to product safety, cybersecurity, quality management, trade compliance, and industrial material specifications. As Compliance Lead, you'll own the frameworks where we need to build depth: EU CRA, CMMC, ASTM/ASME/MTR validation, CE marking, ISO/QMS standards, and others as customer demand evolves.
This is not a back-office compliance role. You'll be the subject matter expert our customers and prospects trust, the person our engineering team turns to when building validation logic into the platform, and a visible face of Certivo at industry events and in sales conversations. You'll translate regulatory requirements into platform rules, work directly with engineering to operationalize them in our Regulation Builder, and help customers understand how Certivo solves their specific compliance challenges.
What You'll Do
- Own framework expertise across product safety (CE marking, EU Machinery Regulation), cybersecurity compliance (EU CRA, CMMC), quality management (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949), material specifications (ASTM, ASME, MTR validation), and trade compliance (ITAR, EAR, BABA). You won't be an expert in all of these on day one—but you'll be expected to learn fast and go deep.
- Translate regulations into platform logic. Work with engineering to define validation rules, acceptance criteria, required document types, and compliance workflows for each framework in Certivo's Regulation Builder. For example: turning an ASTM A106 Grade B specification into chemistry and mechanical property thresholds that our AI engine validates against Mill Test Reports.
- Serve as the external SME. Join sales calls and customer conversations to establish credibility on specific regulatory domains. Present at conferences and webinars. Help prospects understand how Certivo maps to their compliance obligations.
- Support customer implementations. Work with customers to configure frameworks, validate that platform rules match their regulatory interpretation, and ensure compliance outputs meet audit requirements.
- Build internal knowledge. Create framework guides, training materials, and reference documentation so the broader team—sales, marketing, customer success—can speak confidently about every compliance category Certivo supports.
- Stay ahead of regulatory change. Monitor evolving requirements across your domains (e.g., EU CRA vulnerability reporting deadlines, CMMC assessment updates, new ASTM revisions) and proactively flag implications for the platform and customers.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in regulatory compliance, quality engineering, product certification, or a related field within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following domains: product safety/CE marking, cybersecurity compliance (EU CRA, CMMC), quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100), or material specifications (ASTM, ASME, MTR interpretation).
- The ability—and the appetite—to learn new regulatory frameworks quickly. You'll move across domains as customer needs evolve, and intellectual curiosity matters more than checking every box on day one.
- Experience working with engineering or product teams to translate regulatory requirements into technical specifications, validation rules, or system logic.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal. You'll be authoring framework documentation, presenting to customers, and explaining complex regulatory concepts to non-experts.
- Comfort in customer-facing and sales-support situations. You don't need to be a salesperson, but you should be able to hold your own in a room with a VP of Compliance or a Director of Product Security.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Seattle area. This role requires in-person collaboration with our engineering and leadership teams.
Bonus Points
- Experience with multiple compliance domains across the categories listed above—especially if you've had to learn new frameworks on the job.
- Familiarity with supply chain compliance workflows: supplier evidence collection, document validation, audit preparation.
- Background in compliance technology, regulatory SaaS, or building compliance programs at a manufacturer.
- Experience reading and interpreting Mill Test Reports, certificates of conformance, or technical test reports.
- Exposure to defense/aerospace compliance (ITAR, DFARS, CMMC) or medical device regulations (EU MDR, FDA QSR).
Why Certivo
- You'll shape how compliance gets built into the platform. Every framework you operationalize becomes a permanent capability that scales across customers. Your work compounds.
- Market timing is exceptional. CBAM, EU CRA, PFAS, CMMC, and tightening Buy America enforcement are creating compliance urgency across every industry we serve. Manufacturers are actively looking for solutions—you'll be the expert they turn to.
- You won't be siloed. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, sales, and customer success. You'll have direct influence on what gets built and how it gets sold.
- Growth trajectory. As the compliance team expands, you'll be the natural leader of that function. This role is designed to grow with the company.
How to Apply
Send your resume and a brief note on your compliance background to [email protected]. If you want to stand out: pick a regulation Certivo covers, describe what evidence a manufacturer would need to prove compliance, and explain how you'd translate that into validation rules for a software platform. That tells us exactly what we need to know.
Certivo is an equal opportunity employer. We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members.
